Now that Christmas is over and the new year is well under way, we tend to feel a bit down about all the festivities and partying of December coming to an end. But here’s some tips on how to keep positive and shake them January blues off!
The New year is a perfect excuse to make a change in your life or try something new. It’s always great to try a new exercise and eating regime to help you feel healthy and energetic to kick start the new year and maybe a new you. Simple steps like adding an extra day of exercise to your week, or cutting out them unhealthy snacks and fast foods, can make a huge difference to not only physically but mentally as well. You don’t have to complete a high intensity workout every day; it can be something as simple as a walk around the block, walking the dog or a quick stroll to the local shops that can make for a more positive attitude. Also, don’t deprive yourself of the foods you love, just eat everything in proportion; see it as Christmas detox to get over all the chocolate and Turkey consumed over Christmas.

A new year is a great time to plan a holiday and to have something to look forward that takes your mind off the cold weather. Booking a holiday is an exciting time as you have so much choice on where to go and lots to organise to get you on the holiday vibe. Choosing where to go on holiday can sometimes be a chore, but take your time and be spontaneous, think about where you REALLY want to visit. Try somewhere new that you have never been before and push yourself to try new things. You might be the type of person to embrace being a tourist, and plan trips to explore the town or city you are visiting, or you might be a kick back and relax on the beach with a cocktail character. Either one or even if you are a bit of both, the perfect holiday destination is out there for you. If you’re looking to go somewhere to see breath taking sites, Paris is a great option.
Paris has of course the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, Arce de Triumph, The Louvre and loads more! If you are looking to escape the cold, The Canary Islands are recommended with an average temperature of 21c for January. There’s a wide range of fantastic hotels with pools and entertainment to offer including short flight duration’s.

If that’s not hot enough for you then Dubai might be ideal with an average temperature of 31c, and offers a range of fantastic 5* Hotels with the views of some of Dubai’s famous architecture.
If you don’t have the chance to get away and only have your weekends to spare, taking up a winter activity can create a new-found love for winter. Dry slope skiing or snowboarding can be a great way to enjoy winter, as its fun, active and gets you out and about. It’s great way to learn how to ski, or if you are already a pro, its great activity for you and your friends to enjoy. As well as the dry slopes, you have options like ice skating, winter hiking, sledding, winter photography and nature observation, all things winter related for you try and perhaps even love. Find a winter activity that suits you and allows you to embrace winter the way you want to.
